Welcome to our web page

Anglo ~ Danish Maritime Archaeological Team, or A.D.M.A.T. for short, is a Specialist Maritime  Archaeological Organization, with sub divisions. One in America called ADMAT USA which is a charity and one in France called ADMAT -  FRANCE which is a non profit organisation.

ADMAT is a non-profit educational organization. Our aims are:

  • To conduct maritime archaeology in the Caribbean, assisting governments to survey and protect their underwater cultural heritage.
  • To assist volunteer - students to take part in maritime archaeological field excavations and surveys.
  • To protect the Underwater Maritime Cultural Heritage. We survey, record and advise on how to protect, shipwrecks from the old European empires.

ADMAT Projects

ADMAT is currently running different projects in numerous countries. There are Projects planned in: The Dominican Republic, Florida Keys and The Canary Islands (Research Stage).

 

ADMAT Issues a Statement at the UNESCO

first meeting of state parties to the 2001 convention on the protection of the underwater cultural heritage - 26/7 March 2009, Paris, UNESCO HQ.

Tile Wreck Project Dates.

We are having one continual Field Schools & Volunteer Program for 2009 on The Tile Wreck. This program is also now available to Volunteers who wish to take part in preserving and documenting this shipwreck.
