During the project the students were taught how to use archaeological water dredges, as well as how to handle artefacts including first aid conservation of artefacts, artefact documenting, (drawing and tagging of the artefacts) as well as artefact photography. Lectures were given on the topic of maritime archaeological logistics, the wrecking processes and how to think like a maritime archaeologist.

We were delighted to welcome from the Oficina Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural Subacuático (ONPCS), the Director General Wilfredo Feliz and the Director of the Government Conservation Laboritory Francis Soto. During their visit the French film crew managed to get footage of our guests as we briefed them on the latest developments on The Tile Wreck's  survey and excavation.

A lot of fun was had by all.
