We are currently accepting applications for the Field School in 2010

To submit an application: (1) Copy and paste into a word document and fill in. Then e-mail it to Dr. Spooner on maritime_archaeology@yahoo.co.uk and copy to Jeremy Schomberg at e-mail: Jeremy.Schomberg@uk.issworld.com , with a one-page résumé and a statement of the reasons why you wish to participate in the project (less than 500 words).(2) Photocopies of your diving qualifications and e-mail them.

I wish to apply for admission to the Dominican Republic 2010 maritime archaeological field school on the dates set out below. I understand that this field school course with tuition offered by ADMAT is non accredited, although proof of participation will be given.  I understand that the participation costs of the project is the $1,300.00 US, per week  for divers and $1,000.00 US per week for not divers and those on artefact handling courses; on the basis of 2 week slots inclusive of all administration, tuition, accommodation, full board. I understand that this price excludes the cost of air fare and arrival at the accommodation, insurances, DAN medical and diving insurance as well as any personal spending and personal activities and that an additional charge of $300.00 US will be made on arrival as a contribution for transportation etc.  An invoice will be sent after acceptance of your application form, where upon the full field school fee amount is to deposited into ADMAT's bank account.

Exclusion Clause

ADMAT USA, ADMAT-FRANCE, Anglo ~ Danish Maritime Archaeological Team Ltd and/or their affiliates or related corporations, partnerships, agents, principals, staff or employees shall not in any way be liable for accidents, injury, death, inconvenience, damage, incidents, injuries, theft, loss of diving or enjoyment due to bad weather, losses of causes of action of any kind incurred during, or arising out of, or in connection with your stay at this field school or the use of the project equipment or personnel. Participants, whether they be volunteers, divers, archaeologists or students expressly agree to assume all risks associated with the contemplated activities foreseen and unforeseen. Team Members assume all responsibility for any medical condition and should consult their doctor if they have any medical conditions that are not compatible with strenuous diving activity. It will be a requirement that all participants, howsoever named, accept this clause when they make their reservation. They will be required to sign PADI Liability Release, Safe Diving Practices and the Medical Form, as well as any other ADMAT documents.
